Light Concept’s CEO Tanas Khoury just bagged the ( Innovative Lighting Project of the Year Award ) at the very first Light Middle East Awards 2013 held on October 8th 2013 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, UAE. The winning entry is his project Princess Tower which is situated in Dubai Marina. The project bested 2 other shortlisted nominees for the category Innovative Lighting Project of the Year.

Another Three of his projects namely Sofitel Corniche in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Financial Towers in Dubai and The Khoury’s Residence in Abu Dhabi were also short listed as finalists under 3 different categories by an elite panel of judges.

Light Middle East Awards is first of its kind in the middle east and GCC countries and was introduced by Light Middle East exhibition which is organized by (MESSE FRANKFORT). The evening was indeed a gathering of lighting professionals from all over the world displaying their most captivating and impressive lighting projects. These projects were thoroughly screened and examined by the jury with finalists being announced at the awards gala dinner. The event was sponsored by GE Lighting, OSRAM , Society of Engineers in UAE, ERCO, Iguzzini, acdc, TRILUX, Linea Light and LG.

CEO Tanas Khoury accepted the award excitedly. He thanked LIGHT CONCEPT team for their hard work , Light Middle East Awards Organizers for giving the opportunity to lighting designers to participate in such events , and the Jury who put their confidence in Light Concept work.

Winning such a prestigious award is an utter validation of his life-long experience, hard work and expertise in lighting design.
